A former firefighter/paramedic, he is a renowned expert witness on the subject of physical fitness and employment standards in the public safety sector. His ground-breaking research was the basis for the creation of the Firefighter Combat Challenge

Rob Alesbury is focused on sponsorship relationships, and the development of new competitions such as the CPR Challenge, and the Cutter's Edge Challenge.

Jay retired as Deputy Chief of the Albuquerque Fire Department. He was a member of the famous “All-Chiefs” team that competed in the Challenge for several years. Jay heads up our Mechanical Engineering Operations, installing Nederman Diesel Exhaust systems in fire departments in the mid-Atlantic region.

Trey has trekked the globe, from India, to Europe in pursuit of the perfect wave. He’s a firefighter/EMT from Montgomery County Maryland with a background in home construction and remodeling.

Rex is a Kansas native. His mom said it would be a cold day in July when she had another kid and it was a cool 54 degrees back in July 1959 when he was born so she got her wish! Hes lived in New Mexico, Florida and is currently residing in Deerfield Beach, Florida. He loves the Challenge and motocross and has played bass player for numerous touring bands and is the author of a couple of recorded hit songs. Hes been on the road since 1982 and his gypsy spirit will never change.

Brent P. Davis holds the age-record for 13-year olds having posted an impressive 4:39 in 1994. Hes completed two tours in Iraq, and is now a member of the USMC Reserve and is a course official and back-up driver for the tour.

Rich retired as a fourth-generation ladder lieutenant with the Yarmouth (MA) FD. He is a Class A CDL driver and former Firefighter Combat Challenge competitor. Rich is best known as “Thumbs” for the over-developed digits that he uses to start all the races. He’s also a certified diesel mechanic and an all-around fix-it dude.

Scott recently retired as Fire Chief for Kodak at Rochester. He’s a Class A CDL operator and manages the Scott Staging Area. Both Scott and his brother have been long-time competitors in the Scott Firefighter Combat Challenge.

Clint is a Class A CDL and former Captain with the Byron (IL) FD. He’s a former Firefighter Combat Challenge competitor and runs the back side of the Firefighter Combat Challenge course |

Matt is a two-year veteran of the Road Crew and a 7-year veteran of the US Marine Corps. He served two-tours in Iraq in combat billets with Armored Recon and most recently with riverine ops. Matt is working on his last semester of his undergraduate degree in finance and is on the list for a couple of fire departments.

Jackie hails from the film and TV world where she recently was a set designer for The Wire series on HBO. Currently she’s coordinating our publicity and travel logistics.

Amelia’s day job is a CAT Scan and MRI technician in Charlotte. But her real love is working the Combat Zone Merchandise trailer. She’s an avid runner and personal trainer.

Captain Tillett is from Knoxville. He’s been a part of the Road Crew for five years. His DNA is all over the props that you see on the course. The rumor that he fabricated a clutch from a pine cone is not true. It was actually a rocking chair.

Chuck is a former firefighter and Fire Chief of Freeport, ME. He’s an expert on fire apparatus fabrication, having built hundreds of chassis in the New England area. Chuck has been with the FCC from the first year- starting as a spectator and has since been a permanent member of the road crew. He was instrumental in the design of the first-ever mobile tower. |

Julio is a graduate of the University of Managua (Nicaragua) where he earned his degree in public accounting. He heads up our accounting department.
